Launch of the Stop and Yield campaign

Citizens for Road Safety launched the Stop & Yield Campaign on February 17th, 2023 at the Sugar Land Heritage Museum and Foundation. Plans were presented for activities in Fort Bend County from March 2023 onward. This includes work on identification and action on pedestrian problem areas and training, including for community groups and schools on pedestrian/road safety and the new pedestrian law, the Lisa Torry Smith Act.

Speakers included Fort Bend County leaders: Fort Bend County Sheriff Eric Fagan, Fort Bend County District Attorney Brian Middleton and former United States Congressman Pete Olson.

The event featured drinks and food from local Fort Bend businesses including Rosenberg’s Bob’s Taco Station – featured on the Food Network’s Diners Drive-In and Dives! We are grateful to Bob’s Taco Station for their generous donation of food for the event.
