Citizens for Road Safety Texas
Citizens for Road Safety is a Texas-based non-profit organization working to raise awareness of and implement the Lisa Torry Smith Act. Citizens for Road Safety is also working to improve problematic pedestrian areas in Fort Bend County – ranked among the most dangerous places in the United States to be a pedestrian.
Gina Torry – President and Chair, Board of Directors
Gina Torry is the sister of Lisa Torry Smith. After her sister Lisa Torry Smith was killed crossing the street in a crosswalk in a school zone in Fort Bend County, Texas, Gina began working with Fort Bend County leaders and residents to make streets safer for pedestrians. With the help of a bipartisan group of Texas leaders, Gina advocated for a new law in Texas to make it a crime to kill or injure a pedestrian or other vulnerable road user in Texas which is now the Lisa Torry Smith Act. She oversees a network of Citizens for Road Safety community volunteers and staff.
Kelly Rangel – Treasurer, Board of Directors
Kelly Rangel is a Tax Partner with Calvetti Ferguson, a Texas based CPA firm. She has 15 years of tax and accounting experience, including 10 in public accounting. She started her career in the Houston office of PricewaterhouseCoopers practicing International Corporate Tax and, after having kids rebranded herself in Private Client Services where she focuses her practice on high net worth individuals, business owners and multigenerational families. Her specialties include individual, estate, gift, trust and non-profit tax consulting and compliance.
Lauren Gold Coulter – Secretary, Board of Directors
Lauren Gold Coulter is a veteran producer, field producer, and production manager based in Los Angeles, California. Her work spans a wide range of broadcast genres, including high-end corporate live streaming events, live sports events, corporate video news releases, commercials, and music videos. She began working in broadcast television in 1995 in Park City, UT. Lauren specializes in producing multi-camera live events and live streams for companies such as Nike, Qualtrics, Salesforce, The Nobel Peace Prize Forum, and Facebook. She has produced shows for a diverse list of outlets including the Speed Channel, Universal Studios, EA Sports, the Disney Channel, and Al Gore’s 24 Hours of Climate Reality. Lauren lives in the San Fernando Valley with her husband, two kids, two turtles, and two neurotic dogs.
